Dear Residents,
We are pleased to inform you that we believe we have pinpointed the location of the water leak responsible for the water pressure issues many of you have experienced over the past few weeks. Excavation work in the suspected area is slated to begin on Saturday, the 23rd. It's important to note that this may potentially affect water service for those residing on the North side of Highway 3.
This excavation represents the preliminary phase of our investigative process. If our findings reveal damaged pipes needing replacement, rest assured we will schedule the needed repairs in the weeks ahead.
On a positive note, our tanks have been cleaned and are now back to their full capacity. However, due to the present leak, we are rapidly approaching our maximum water intake from the creek. We earnestly request all residents to exercise restraint in water usage during this time, helping us effectively address the water pressure issues resulting from the leak until it has been repaired.
As a safety precaution, please be reminded that a boil water notice is still in effect until further advisement.
Your patience and understanding as the Kitchener Improvement District diligently addresses this issue are deeply appreciated. A heartfelt thank you extends to everyone who has championed and supported our investigation efforts.
For any queries or concerns, please reach out to Russell Faulkner or Jon Delcaro either via email at Kitchenerbc@gmail.com or by phone at 250-977-5565.
Thank you for your continued cooperation.
